As we cheer on the Saints in the playoffs, it’s worth remembering …
It’s worth remembering that Arnie Fielkow’s leadership was key to keeping the Saints in New Orleans.
“As a former six-year, executive vice president of the NFL’s New Orleans Saints, I served as the lead negotiator who finalized a key, long-term contract between the Saints and the state of Louisiana —leading ultimately to our prized team’s longevity in the city.”
We owe Fielkow a debt of gratitude far beyond his work for the Saints. Fielkow would like voters’ support again, so that he can continue his work to improve the city’s prospects through economic development, youth opportunity, and good government.
Arnie Fielkow’s agenda is completely consistent with the NolaStat policy reform agenda to improve the quality of life in New Orleans by running good, effective government. Creating more open and higher performing government can be accomplished by not only electing the right people to office, but by implementing the full package of NolaStat policy reform recommendations, all based upon successful practices in other cities, as well as good government policies now implemented by President Obama.
